Earlier today I got the news that Mathias Fredriksen (17) has been chosen to represent Norway in The Chance. He will first go to a pre-camp in Holland with five other talents from other countries, whereas one of them will got through to the big final in Barcelona.
That’s well deserved from what I’ve seen, he and especially his technical skills has impressed me. In the indoor winter cup last christmas he dominated against much older guys and became the top scorer. His goal goal against Gvarv was a beauty. He did also win national Nike contest last year (Make the difference), where the final was played at Old Trafford, Manchester United’s famous venue. In the final he contested against three others, where two of them was Elba Rashani and Jonas Ben Abdeljelij, both from ODD. Some of the United stars had taken their seats to watch the finals. He won because of very good technical skills, said the judge and former Man United player Ronny Johnsen.
This do also say a lot about ODD and the talent development going on, even with small resources.
A video of him recieving the message can be seen here. In Norwegian only.
