Hell yeah!

A lot of pressure was on the lads today, and they had to perform. At the starting list stood Lars Kristian Eriksen, who just had been transferred from Lillestrøm …

Børven netting his first of the season!

The boys wanted to get back today, there’s no doubt about that. Only 4.900 fans saw ODD take control from the very beginning. It took som time though, before the first chance came along. Torgeir Børven got the ball on 14 meters, but his volley was deflected over by Frode Kippe.

Only minutes later a second chance was served Børven. A cross hit Herolind Shala, who headed back to a unmarked Børven, who made no mistakes, and headed it beautifully past Sead Ramovic. ODDs first goal this season came after 12 minutes in the third game, and relief surrounded Skagerak Arena!

It took 20 more minutes to get the next opportunity, and boy that was a big one. Out of nothing Snorre Krogsgaard had the ball alone inside the five meter box, but a weak shot made sure that Ramovic could avoid the danger.

ODD dominated the first half, and deserved the lead. LSK had not created one single chance! But when the chances first was there …

… It was pure luck on ODDs behalf that the ball didn’t end in the net. It was complete chaos inside the box, and Morten Fevang blocked two shots who was bound for goal, while André Hansen had to get out in full stretch to avoid equalization. Lillestrøm had more possession now, and the 1-0 lead was threatened.

But as Lillestrøm pushed on, a former LSK player was what needed to kill Lillestrøms hope forr victory. One hour out in the game he broke off a attack, and rushed forward together with Snorre Krogsgaard. They combined well, and alone with Ramovic, though from a tight position, he smashed the ball just inside the first post. His first goal for ODD in his first game, his first goal in Tippeligaen, funnily enough against his former employer!

ODD had full control after this, and could have scored more, as Krogsgaard and Frode Johnsen was very close to find the net.

2-0 feels like gold today, I must say! This is just what the guys need. I’m saying it like Dagbladet(national paper) says: “This ODD team won deserverly and showed both good efforts and a will to rise after the two first games. It’s still early in the season, but we can see that the club has enough qualities to fight on the top part of the table.
