ODDs day

In the past days and weeks, ODDs poor economy has been in focus. The club has been pushing on to get extra income, which have been including trying to sell players like Torgeir Børven and Steffen Hagen. And of course, that has not been popular among the fans. To avoid a crisis, some great supporters have taken action, of which we saw today.

Knowing that there was a arrangement in the centre of Skien today, I gave it a visit. A few stands stood there, with people wearing the right shirts and colours behind the table. On the table stood bunches of fruits and cakes. The deal was that you could take as much as you want, and pay as much (or less) as you want. That had to be a success. At the same time, a different group had been at the neighbouring stores, aiming to get a deal where every shop would give a part of saturdays profit to ODD Grenland. Other than that, the supporters club was there too, pushing tickets for next weekends kickoff arrangement. I almost can’t wait for that! It’s gonna be great…

The only new campaign I didn’t see there, was the “my player” campaign, where the target is to collect enough money to sign the talented defender Niklas Gunnarson for another year.

From what I saw, the arrangement was a success. Lots of people stopped by and grabbed something from the stands. Even some of the ODD Grenland players was so impressed over the engagement, that they took their turn to help!

Today makes me even prouder of being a ODD Grenland supporter. Today shows that the people loves ODD Grenland, and ODD means something for the people.
