Notodden comes from ODDs own county Telemark, and from the city Notodden. They play their home games at Idrettsparken, where 5000 spectators can be filled in. Coach is the former ODD Grenland player Brede Halvorsen.
About the stadium
Capacity (seat/stand): 5000 (3200/1800)
Opened: 13.09.2008, against ODD
Away section: Even though it’s on a full long side, the wiev is poor because it’s a very flat stand. Lies next to a river, and without a back wall and a roof, I guess it might be pretty cold in march and november.
Notodden FK is one of the youngest clubs in Norwegian football, formed in 1999. Having a local millionaire pushing forward, they climbed quickly. Already in 2007 they played in Adeccoligaen(2nd tier). But as he had to cut the supply, the club failed to remain in the division, and they were back on the third tier in 2010. Last year they won their department with a 24 (!) distance to the 2nd place, and they are yet again ready for Adeccoligaen.
Player and assistant coach, who can be used as a central midfielder or attacker. He’s a very strong guy. Used to play for ODD, but had to leave because of a series of injuries. Most people remember him for scoring five goals against Bryne in the qualifications in 2006.
Erik Sergio Skogen
Young winger who also has had his past in ODD.
As mentioned before, Notodden won their department in an impressive way.
Notodden has played four games so far, winning two and losing two.
Notodden – pors 6-1
Notodden – Herkules 3-0
Notodden – Valdres 2-3
Kongsvinger – Notodden 2-1
History between the clubs
Because of Notoddens young history, only three official games has been played. Two of them in 2008, when both teams attended Adeccoligaen. 0-0 at Idrettsparken, while it ended 1-1 in Skien. The last game was a cup tie in 2009, when ODD beat Notodden 2-0 away.
There’s many familiar faces in both camps. Tarjei Dale, Lars Lien, Erik Skogen, Jan Tore Amundsen, Håvard Kleven, Marius Enger and Brede Halvorsen has played for ODD, while ODD coach Fagermo has been managing Notodden.
