Before yesterdays game ODD had four wins in a row. As Fredrikstad stood on the other half, we were certain the number would increase to five. That didn’t work out.
In a first half who didn’t have too much tempo, ODD hadde was the best team. The first big chance came after 17 minutes, as Fredrikstad-defender Vidar Martinsen sent Elba Rashani one-on one with the goalie. Young Rashani seemed surprised over getting the chance, and it ended in nothing.
Ten minutes later Martinsen gives it another go, this time to Torgeir Børven. He rounded the keeper, and put it safely into the net. 1-0 to ODD, a deserved result so long, as Fredrikstad had produced nothing (their way).
Another ten minutes later, and another blooper. Fredrikstads GK Jon Masalin picked up a loose shot, but slipped straight onto the feets of Snorre Krogsgaard. But straightens up his own mistake, and catches the ball again.
At half time it stood 1-0, deserverly in ODDs favour.
Fredrikstad subbed out Vidar Martinsen, the guy who were the genious behind two of three ODD-chances.
The second half was more even, and Fredrikstad made some efforts. Andreas Lie had to go out in full stretch after 52 minutes, and Tarik Elyounoussi hit the outside of the post just three minutes later.
ODDs first opportunity came atfer 72 minutes, as Frode Johnsens shot from 20 meters, with course towards the cross, was pushed over by the keeper.
A few substitutions were made, which gained Fredrikstad. So it was not unfair at that point, that the equalizer was scored after 81 minutes. A long ball went into the box, and an unmarked Alexander Ruud Tvedter hit it from an “impossible” angle.
During the dying minutes both ODD and Fredrikstad came close to a winner, but not close enough. 1-1 became the final result, which was okay considering the play in the second half. A little dissapointing not to beat them though…
To Varden, dag-Eilev Fagermo said that he was satisfied, especially with the first half.
